Leo Finan

Leo Finan is a performer, bassist, and guitarist originating from the Chicago suburbs. Leo is a student focusing on his undergraduate musical studies and has had numerous professional performance experiences with orchestras and musical theatre productions. Leo began learning guitar at the age of 8 and began studying bass at age 15 with Jeremy Attanaseo. In high school, Leo had the opportunity to perform at Symphony Center multiple times with the Chicago Youth Symphony featuring soloists such as Anthony and Demarre McGill.

Leo is currently a student at DePaul University, studying double bass performance with Robert Kassinger. Leo has also studied with Andy Anderson and Alex Hanna while being at DePaul. He recently had the opportunity to perform with the DePaul Concert Orchestra and soprano Ana Maria Martinez and has worked with Alan Kay of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. On top of his orchestral experience, Leo is a regular performer on guitar, bass, and banjo for various musical theatre productions in the Chicago area, such as Sweeney Todd, Oklahoma, Catch Me if You Can, and All Shook Up. His most recent performance was playing guitar for Skokie theatre’s production of Man of La Mancha. Leo is excited for his opportunity to perform with the JAM Orchestra due to his love for orchestral, Broadway, and movie music.
